Tasks and Results

When is a Task actually complete?

When Final Verification passes and every declared Expected Output exists as a regular file. The platform verifies those files; it never creates, copies, moves, or publishes them.

An empty file passes an existence check. If content matters, add a content check to a Step or to Final Verification.

Where do Task outputs go?

Into the Agent's workspace—outputs/ unless the Task names another path—and they are downloadable from the Outputs tab of the Task Run. Intermediate files belong in $TASK_ARTIFACT_DIR; the platform does not look there for Expected Outputs.

Can I edit a Task definition?

To change one, delete it and create it again with the same filename. Deleting a definition keeps every existing Task Run, Log, Session, Output, and download link.

What happens to my data when an Agent is deleted?

Deleting an Agent permanently removes its workspace, including its Task definitions, Materials, and Outputs. Download what you need first. The original package ZIP is unaffected and can be imported again.

What does IndustrialClaw store?

Agent packages and workspaces, Task definitions and Materials, Task Runs with their Logs and Sessions, Outputs, token usage, accounts, and Audit records. Retention for token history and completed Task Run detail is configurable under Settings → System: 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or forever. The Task row, its status, times, and summary are kept even when detail expires.

Who can see what?

An Administrator sees every Agent, Task Run, Log, Session, and the Audit page. A User sees the Main Agent and assigned Agents, can start and stop their Tasks, and can read Logs and Sessions for the runs that User started. Changing a User's Agent assignment invalidates their current session immediately.
